Test Talks Wales
We are super excited to be hosted this month by the awesome folk over at Confused.com.
We have 2 talks lined up for you. and, of course, lots of free drinks and pizza courtesy of our hosts for the night 🍕
Our meetups are open to anyone with an interest in Software Testing, whether you are just getting started, or a seasoned veteran. Many people come on their own and we make sure the evening is as friendly and welcoming as possible 💚
Here’s how the evening tends to run,
Feel free to turn up from 6pm. We'll have a selection of pizza and drinks available, all free of charge thanks to Confused.com 💛 Grab a slice, mingle with our friendly crowd, and make some new connections. If you need an introduction, just grab our organiser Sam, or dive right in and say "hello!"
Around 6:30 we will then move onto our talks with a break for more pizza in between.
Talk 1: Adam Cullen. A practical guide to testing an Event Driven Microservice
In this talk Adam will attempt to demystify testing metaphors and ambiguous meanings and demonstrate a concrete approach to applying automated testing to event-driven microservices.
Adam is a Distinguished Software Engineer at Confused.com and has a passion for designing and building reactive systems. With experience of writing software spanning two decades he's worked for companies such as JustEat and ASOS.
Talk 2: Olay Ekundayo. Parallel testing and leveraging AI for testing purpose
In this talk Olay will talk to us about parallel testing and how you can use AI to improve testing processes with an open discussion about this topic.
Olay is an engineering Team lead in Confused. She is an accomplished Test Engineer with up to 8 years experience in the field and has lead the test management of many projects successfully before switching over to software development and engineering.
