SR2 are partnering with a large consultancy client on a critical programme in a government department. There is a need for an Infrastructure Engineer to provide specialist engineering skills to lead the design, development and deployment of Windows security controls using Microsoft/Azure for a client project.
W Within the client's environment, you will be looking for opportunities to reduce the IT infrastructure's attack surface by restricting means for users to install and use non-sanctioned software and add-ons on Windows end user devices. Client's existing configuration and security tooling is to be used to achieve this including Microsoft, Azure and Splunk.
You will evaluate options, then design, test and roll-out restrictions to the live production environment to circa 10,000 end user devices. We will be looking for strong knowledge and proven experience in designing, configuring, testing and deploying controls on a large number of Windows end user (circa 10k) devices using Microsoft and Azure tools, familiarity with Splunk tooling, and solid experience taking technical changes through change control processes including CAB.
Due to the nature of the project, active Security Clearance will be required. Initally, the contract would last until 31st March.
