Our client is looking for a Software Testing Engineer to utilise manual and automation testing of their unmanned air vehicles (UAVs). This role will involve testing of embedded software and firmware; as such, if candidates have this experience that would be highly beneficial, otherwise, candidates should be willing to upskill and learn this as part of their role.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct manual testing of aviation software across multiple devices and browsers.
- Write test plans and develop test cases based on both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Write, execute, and maintain automated test scripts to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Document and report defects to the Software Engineering team using JIRA for prompt resolution.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment to deliver software releases incrementally, meeting milestones and deadlines.
- Assist in estimating and refining software development and testing tasks to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Working with embedded software and firmware.

Requirements:
- British national (unfortunately we cannot accept dual nationality for this role)
- Security Clearance - you must be willing to go through the SC process if successful
- Local to Wiltshire
- Experience with the responsibilities noted above
