This is a brand-new opportunity to join a business that is owned by a non-for-profit - where every day your work will be having an impact on children and education leaders around the world. This company are the sister of a global, multi-million-pound business with footprints all over the globe. They are going through an exciting growth trajectory, as they have completed some strategic plans and plan to add a minimum of additional software developers to the team to cope with existing client demand as they grow their comfy team of 10 to a team of 15+ developers.

The Role

As a Senior Developer (PHP, Laravel, MongoDB, Vue/React), you will become an integral part of the company and the business' SAAS offering as you play an integral part in the development and deployment of the enterprise scale web application, which is deployed to the cloud. You will be responsible for building new features on to the existing application, bringing your voice to the table and contributing ideas to the product and product clean, scalable code. Problem solving will play a huge part in this role as the existing product is complex and data-heavy therefore meaning you will never get bored! You will join a truly supportive and collaborative environment where your opinion and work will be valued. They are passionate about exceptional usability and keeping up to date with the latest technologies and trends in the market.

Day-to-day you might:

• Develop RESTful API's and build new features onto the web applications
• Develop and maintain user-interface
• Create technical documentations
• Follow coding best practices
• Complete code reviews, stand-ups and team discussions
• Research and explore with new tech

The requirements:

• 3+ years' experience within programming
• Experience with modern backend technologies e.g. PHP8, Laravel8 +
• NoSQL or SQL (MongoDB is desirable)
• Git
• JavaScript
• Any experience with a JavaScript framework (Vue/React desirable but Angular 2+ also considered)
• Unit testing (desirable)

Location: HQ is based in Bristol. However, there is other offices around the country that you are able to commute to. Currently, the team meet up an average of once a month.
