Salary £70,000 - £95,000
Location: South West based (ability to visit Bristol or Cheltenham bi-weekly)

Are you an experienced Software Architect with a background in Defense and Consultancy?

Interested to solve highly complex problems on important mission critical projects within the UK?

SR2 are recruiting for a people-first and growing UK based Software Consultancy, we are recruiting for a Software Architect with experience in modern ways of working and Cloud experience (AWS or Azure) to join a fast paced, Agile project for customers within Central Gov and UK Defence.

You will be required into their Bristol or Cheltenham office (whichever location it better for you) bi-weekly, with lots of flexibility and autonomy. 37.5 hour working week with 25 days holiday and the option to buy/sell holiday.

Experience required:

• British Citizen + Eligible for SC Clearance (lived/worked in UK for past 5 years)
• Experienced architect with experience across a variety of challenging projects
• Experienced in architecture software solutions, producing high level designs
• Ability to work directly with customers or internal stakeholders
• Worked within a Defense consultancy environment
• Implementing Agile methodology and best practice into a delivery team
• Experienced in providing support, mentoring to employees earlier in their career
• Understanding of DevOps techniques - virtualisation, containerisation, CI/CD, infrastructure as code
• Contemporary software Engineering including selection and application of technology and patterns
• Keeping up to date with modern tech trends
