SR2 has been working with this business for many years now, we have helped to build & grow their company since their earlier days as a start-up. Now officially in their scale-up phase, after millions of investments and continued growth and going from success to success.

They are building a brand-new team within the company and looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join and work on their modern tech stack and a brand-new product. This is all Greenfield work and a chance to really make an impact with the work you do.

The role is working full stack, however we are looking for someone who would first and foremost class themselves as a Backend Software Engineer with experience in Golang. You do not want to miss out on this!

Technologies in use:

Golang, Microservices, Kubernetes, Terraform, Amazon Cognito, Open API, GCP - whilst this is a full stack role also using React, TypeScript and NodeJS.

You can expect no technical debt or legacy here! The system is very new so you'll be purely focused on building architecture and new exciting features for their customers.

Here are some of the skills and experience we're looking for (don't worry if you don't tick every box, we're looking for amazing humans who are motivated by their technologies and mission):

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Computer Science (algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming)
  • You've worked in a fast-paced environment and understand the nature of start-ups and brining new products to the market (things can change quickly and move fast!)
  • Ideally you have experience with Go (however languages such as Java will also be considered) with the ability to pick up Go
  • Experienced with the DevOps process (preferably with Kubernetes)
  • Strong interest in following best engineering practices and following TDD, BDD, CI/CD and Automation
  • Database experience with SQL, NoSQL or GraphDBs
  • You've worked in a Cloud/DevOps'y environment with understanding of Terraform, GCP or AWS.
