Introduction: Our London-based consultancy is seeking a Data Consultant to join our team on a 6-month contract. As a Data Consultant, you will play a crucial role in data discovery, API development, onboarding users to a new data platform, standardizing data, and implementing innovative ways of working. Your expertise in Databricks administration on an Azure tenant and web scraping will be valuable assets in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Discovery:

   • Conduct data discovery and analysis to identify valuable insights and patterns within the data.

2. API Development (Python):

   • Create and maintain APIs using Python to facilitate data access and integration.

3. User Onboarding:

   • Provide support for onboarding users to a new Data Platform, ensuring a seamless transition and user training.

4. Data Standardization:

   • Implement data standardization procedures to ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy.

5. Innovative Ways of Working:

   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support new methods and processes to enhance data-related operations and efficiency.

6. Databricks Administration (Azure):

   • Administer Databricks on an Azure tenant, managing clusters, workspaces, and other related components to optimize data processing and analytics.

7. Web Scraping and Data Cleansing:

   • Set up web scraping processes to gather external data sources and perform data cleansing to ensure data integrity.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in data analysis and data discovery.
• Proficiency in Python for developing and maintaining APIs.
• Strong expertise in Databricks administration on Azure.
• Experience in setting up web scraping processes and data cleansing.
• Familiarity with data platform onboarding and user training.
